  • Water - there will be opportunities along the way to refill or purchase bottles of water
  • You may be supplied a basket or bike bag (panniers) for each bike to carry bags and personal items - there is also the option to leave items at the shop in Krems.

Additional Information

  • Weather -- Tour operates in all weather conditions. Rain ponchos are provided.
  • Lunch -- You will visit a local wine tavern serving a great selection of hot and cold meals at very reasonable prices. Vegetarian meals and homemade desserts also available (lunch not included and can be purchased on the day of your tour).
  • Extras -- Electric bikes, child seats and kid's tandems available at request on location with additional cost.

How long is the bike ride? -- The total distance is about 20km (12 miles).

Do I need to be fit for this tour? -- No, the tour is designed for everyone. You will bike along well surfaced and almost flat bike paths. There are stops along the way for photos, wine tasting and information etc - you just need to know how to ride a bike.

What if I don't drink wine or alcohol? -- The tour is an all in one day trip and is not only focused on wine. For people who don't drink alcohol, you will be offered grape juice or soft drinks.

Is the tour appropriate for children? -- Absolutely! It is a great family activity. There are 3 options depending on age:

  • For children under 18 months or 20 kg (45 lbs) there are baby seats that can be attached to the back of the bike.
  • For children up to 12 years or 45 kg (100 lbs) there are 2-wheeled tandem trailers. The passenger sits on a seat and can pedal or cruise.

Is there a maximum number of participants for the tour?
Yes, the tour is limited to 25 people per guide.

What time does the tour arrive back in Vienna?
Approximately 7pm.

What if it rains? -- The tour operates rain, hail or shine. Quality rain ponchos will be supplied in the case of bad weather.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
